As of recently, my life has been going great. Didn't have many complaints about life and I was being generally cheerful for a change. That all changed last Friday. For some weird reason, I've never come across this video. Apparently it was approved by the SG50 committee, in the hopes that Singaporeans will understand the imporance of our aging population and realise the need to start havng familes to help our nation.
I think having a family is great, but telling people, to their face that the need to have sex tonight is a little much in my books. Singapore has been running a campaign on encouraging couples to get married earlier and start having babies and start a family. Do I think that its working? No, simply telling someone to get married and start a family is not a simple task. Getting married and starting a family is a huge commitment and not something like Don't Litter or Recycle.
Anyways, I think this video, the music, the lyrics and the message is just in bad taste. Watching it, my feelings to getting married and starting a family is now even less appealing. I want nothing to do with this sex encouraging video. And to think, Singaporeans complained about the Madonna concert being too sexy.
